Chandhok – An Impressive Performer

Chandhok is a Formula One driver from India who was very impressive during the qualifying session in Spanish Grand Prix that was held at Circuit de Catalunya. It was an excellent performance by Chandhok as he completed the lap in 1:26.750 and his team mate Bruno Senna was at a lap time 1:27.122. There was one major problem which Chandhok faced and that was he has changed a gear box and so he got penalty for five places.

It has been stated by Chandhok that Qualifying round went just as it was expected by us. So, all of us are quite happy about it. Chandhok thought that their deficit to other two teams that were new would be only after FP3. Personally, he is very pleased with his job that he accomplished for having 4 tenths on other cars. He also thought that there was possibility to be faster in the game.

He is really interested in thanking and appreciating mechanics and engineers of his car who had worked till 5 AM in the morning, so that they can get the car out on track. Chandhok also said that they had a penalty because they have changed a gearbox, but due to that he was thrown behind Bruno. Still he hopes well and is looking forward for one stronger race, which they will have tomorrow in Sepang.

Earlier, during the day, Chandhok has already completed 18 laps during the third session of practice. His best clock for the lap was 1:26:611 and he finished it in 23rd position which was very well ahead from his team mate only. Chandhok has suffered some vibration problem so he had to stop his session earlier, but his car was completely ready for qualifying which enabled Chandhok to be in another tough qualifying flaunt. Their Managing Director and Team Principal, Dr. Colin Kolles told that they are actually finding out the reason so that they can produce more adequate set-up for races. Early during this morning, their work was hampered due to red flag interruption. They have also suffered from the lack of grip because there was a heavy rain throughout the night. What they require tomorrow is two more car finish and that is all. Chandhok delivered an impressive performance and also made the nation proud by finishing it at 14th place in Spanish Grand Prix. He was the lead driver of the team.

Fine for Ferrari Due to Alonso Incident

Ferrari has been fined almost $13,500 after his driver Fernando Alonso has almost crashed the car into Nico Rosberg in the pit track. This incident happened during the qualifying round for the Spanish Grand Prix. This incident has happened during the early final 10 minutes which was actually a qualifying session.

There are four stewards of the race who have quickly deliberated on the incident which has taken place early during the last 10 minute discharge. Alonso has pulled out the Ferrari from the garage during his foremost run in Q3. After pulling out Ferrari he cut Rosberg that was a Mercedes driver up and he made his own way though the pit lane. It is forced to German that they have to break sharply. By doing so, they can prompt an instant come back with the team radio. He got news that Alonso should be punished for that reason. Alonso’s manoeuvre for a dangerous discharge from the pits along with an agreement to rules and regulations has caused a heavy fine to them.

A question was earlier asked by Spaniard about being penalized once when he had witnessed what happened during the Chinese Grand Prix which was held just three weeks before. While this thing happened, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton were only warned for their alongside just down pit track and it was a stage when their wheels touched each other. Alonso said before the steward’s decision that he did not see Nico unfortunately. It is not an ideal place from where you can see anyone from the pits who is coming, so you have to completely depend on your mechanic.
If a fine is there during the grand prix, then surely need to re-evaluate some of the previous grand prix that they have played up till now, especially for the penalties which have taken in the pit track. Another thing is that if a fine is there, it is actually a safety in the pit track, but it is considered as fine or a penalty for the whole team. But, hopefully there are no such cases which happened with us. The reason behind this is because they need to re-evaluate some of the races again. It is also said that they hopefully took an important aspect into consideration which clearly stated that there was no touch, no accident or no performance add on from the go.
